Robert Garnham is a Hydrogeologist with 16 years consulting experience both in Australia and overseas. Robert's project experience includes pre-feasibility and feasibility level studies; mine water management during operations, and closure/post-closure planning. He has commonly worked alongside other mining professionals, including rock mechanic engineers, tailings specialists and mine planners, as part of integrated study teams. As a result he understands the considerable benefits that can be gained through effective co-operation between different disciplines.
Robert has also managed a number groundwater studies for various mining projects. These include the:
• Feasibility Study and Feasibility Study Update for the Boddington Gold Mine
• Prefeasibility and Bankable Level Feasibility Study for the Lumwana Copper Project in north eastern Zambia
• Design Study for the Coobina Chromite Project
• Bankable Feasibility Level Study for the East Pilbara Iron Ore Project
• Bankable Feasibility Level Study for the Cosmos Deeps Underground Mine
• Trial Mining/ Feasibility Study for the Chatterbox Gold Project
In addition to his project management experience, Robert has a broad range of both traditional hydrogeological skills and numerical modelling. Traditional skills include identification of groundwater targets, design of drilling programmes and production bores, analysis of aquifer test data and analytical modelling. His experience in numerical methods encompasses development of numerical groundwater flow models and complex water balances (using stochastic and deterministic methods). |
